In this regard, the Ministry of Commerce established a central warehouse under the Department of Internal Trade in 1942 to serve as a tool to maintain the price of consumer goods in the market from rising until it caused trouble to the general public.

In 1944, the Central Warehouse Tower was renamed “The Central Warehouse” and was upgraded to the Warehouse Division in the same year. After the end of World War II, the warehouse division was responsible for buying and selling things such as cloth, agricultural tools, and medicines, which the government had ordered from abroad to sell to farmers throughout the kingdom at affordable prices. and purchase goods necessary for living to sell to the general public in order to freeze prices and maintain the level of product prices in the market from rising
